How To ...
How To .. Get to Know the New "You"
· Reflect on your abilities and strengths
Find out what interests you - in the past you may have followed someone else’s preconceived notions regarding your career. As you experience new situations, events, employers, etc. and you mature, you learn more about what matters to you – what your priorities are. Every time you start a job search, it is imperative to reassess yourself and your goals as you have quite possibly changed your views since your last job search
Determine your best “fit” – what kind of organization and career suit the person that you are
Identify your accomplishments – what contributions did you make to previous employers, what goals did you achieve
Be sure your resume and cover letter reflect who you are and what you like to do, but also meet the requirements of the organization – skills and experience
